The Sports Premium is an amount of money allocated to schools to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision. Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.

At Hatchlands, we intend to spend our Sports Premium funding on three key priorities:

• Introducing the Real PE curriculum in to school and ensuring all staff are well-trained and have the necessary resources available to deliver high quality PE lessons;
• Ensuring our children are active for at least 30 minutes per day, on average, to develop their physical and emotional well-being;
• Ensuring that all of our Year One children get the opportunity to represent the school in sporting events this year and that our extra-curricular clubs are available to as many children as possible.
