I am sure, like us, you were awaiting the prime minister’s announcement about the reopening of schools and it was confirmed that all children will return to school on Monday 8th March.
We are really excited and looking forward to seeing the children ‘in person’ on this date. We can’t wait to see them reunited with their friends and benefitting from attending school again.
Guidance was issued by the Department for Education for the return to school and can be found by clicking here
You will notice that the guidance for Primary Schools is very similar to that in the Autumn Term and over the coming days we will of course review our risk assessments and procedures and communicate these to you in good time.
Attendance will be compulsory from the 8th March (except for those children who have a letter confirming they are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable and have presented this to school) so please do talk about the return to school positively with your child. Please remind them of how well they have done over the last few weeks with their home learning, the things to look forward to on their return to school and allow them the opportunity to talk about any worries they have. Please do contact us at school if there is anything we can support with.
We are so grateful to our parents and carers for their support throughout this time; working in partnership ultimately benefits our children to ensure they receive the very best. Thank you also for the support you have given your children over recent weeks, both emotionally and with their learning! It hasn’t been easy but we have done what we needed to do and now have some optimism for the coming weeks and months.
As always, we will continue to communicate with you over the coming days as we update our risk assessment and any new guidance is issued.
