OSCAHS - breakfast and after school club

At Hatchlands Primary School, we work closely in partnership with OSCAHS who provide breakfast and after school club provision for our children.

The club is very popular and follows the same child-led and outdoor learning ethos that exists within the school.

The club is run by Jen Pearson-Young (Manager) and Cindy Stewart (Deputy Manager). Cindy is also our Learning Support Assistant (LSA) based in reception so she knows the children really well. This all helps with ensuring a consistent approach to the children's school day.

To find out more about the provision that OSCAHS run at Hatchlands, please read the information below from the Hatchlands section of the OSCAHS website.

Hi. Thank you for taking a look at Hatchlands Club. Based at Hatchlands Primary School, we are a new Club in this brand new school in the heart of Redhill.

Our Club has strong links with the school and the EveryChild Trust.

Our Club can be found on the first floor of the school building. We have access to a large upstairs area, including a kitchen area where we have our healthy breakfast and afternoon snacks. Having a kitchen area means we can do cooking activities, which is great fun.
Breakfast is available from 7:30 until 8:20. Afternoon snack is usually available from after school until 4pm. In the winter months, we usually play outside first and then have our snack at 4:30 until 5pm.

We have a range of toys and games for all children. Children enjoy playing outdoors so we always try to go outside at least once a day in the afternoons. As we like to play outside, please ensure your child has suitable outdoor clothing for the time of year.
In the future, we look forward to introducing forest school themed activities to the children attending our Club. (Watch this space!)

As our Club is for the children, they can choose to join in with our carefully planned adult-led activities or they can choose to play their own games and socialise with their friends.
Just like all of the Clubs at OSCAHS, we are Ofsted registered. As we are a new Club, we have not yet had an Ofsted inspection.

We always welcome feedback from all parents and families. If you have any questions about our Club, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Jen P-Y,

Club Manager
